Post-Surgical Rehab
Post-surgical physical therapy, or physical therapy after surgery, helps you recover motion, strength and daily function after an operation, and prehab before surgery helps you start from a stronger place. We follow your surgeon's protocol and stay in touch with your referring physician. Xcelerate Physical Therapy provides post-surgical rehab in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

Prehab before surgery: get stronger first
Prehab before surgery means building strength and motion in the weeks before your operation, so you are not starting recovery from zero. It also lets you learn the exercises and walking aids you will use afterward. If surgery is on your calendar, call us and we will talk through what to do beforehand.
We work closely with your surgeon
Communication matters for recovery after any operation. We follow a number of post-surgical protocols and take the steps needed to protect healing, and we contact your referring physician about precautions and recommendations for your particular procedure.
Many patients do not realize they can usually choose where to do physical therapy. See Insurance for the plans we participate in, and call to check yours.
